Hi, does anyone have any info on this. I'm wondering if you have to pay a supplement or if an interrail ticket isn't valid and you have to pay the fare? Have you travelled this route before? Can you help me?

There's no IR reduction or anything on this route - you'll have to pay the standard fare (but maybe you can get some student reduction or something like that).

Hello!
In the Grimaldi Lines site you can make a Online Booking and preview how much the trip would cost you.
As I'm going in the Peek Season (most expensive one) it says the ticket would be 80€ (full-fare), so a total of 64€ with discount.
This was what you paid? Because railcc says it's cheaper Barcelona - Rome than Barcelona - Livorno, and according to the site it's exactly the same ammount of money...
Can you tell how much you spent in this trip and what season you went (low, shoulder, peek) ?

Hi.
I personally don't know why people say this. In my eyes it always depends if ferries are booked, prices rise. If free seats left, prices are low...
So just take the one which is cheaper - and closer to your final destination (or departure).
