Does the night train from Sofia to Thessaloniki still exist? We need to reach Thessaloniki by August 16th, early in the morning. Would you please help us? Thanks.

Hi Elena, welcome to railcc!
The night train from Bucharest to Thessaloniki via Sofia runs in summer of 2018, however only once weekly on Fridays.

This means that you cannot reach Thessaloniki in the early morning of August 16 by train. Your only option would be the day train from Sofia to Thessaloniki: [ux]http://p.bdz.bg/s/o/sofia-thessaloniki-sofia-9236.pdf[/ux]
Please note that this train currently is operated as a rail replacement bus service between Kulata and Strimon.
