Me and my friend are currently on a month interrail using a 10 day flexipass.
We were intending on taking the Hellas Express sleeper train from Beograd to Thessaloniki on our Flexi-passes so that it would only take 1 day of travel.
However after investigation we have noticed that the train leaves at 18:35, thus violating the 7pm rule for overnight travel on a flexipass.
However, it does stop at several places along the way and it arrives and then leaves from Mladenovac at 19:45. If we bought a ticket for the same train from Beograd to Mladenovac, would we then be able to use our Flexipass for overnight travel with the next day as our travel day?
Also, would we be allowed to make the seat/bed reservation from Beograd to Thessalonika or would that also violate the 7pm rule?
Finally, there seems to be a lack of information online about this train and as such we have no idea how much the journey between Beograd and Mladenovac would cost. Would you be able to give us any guidance on this?

Hi Jamie and welcome to rail.cc :)

Here are the details (schedule, reservation fees for Interrail) for the night train Belgrade to Thessaloniki: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/belgrade-thessaloniki-b335/416

Get a ticket from Belgrade to Mladenovac at the station in Belgrade for RSD 292 (~ EUR 2,50).
And buy the reservation for the couchette/sleeper from Belgrade to Thessaloniki. Get in the sleeper already in Belgrade and explain it to the conductor. The Interrail booklet is always helpful to have with you, explaining it - and as it looks official.

I hope you got your Interrail passes including the special 5% discount ( [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/interrail-discount/[/ux] via our partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] to support all the free information we offer. Thank you! :)

Have a nice trip, Pete :)
