Hi
Please advise on the types of train tickets, fare, where and how to purchase them for transfer both ways. It is convenient (within the station and in the cabin) as each of us is carrying a 30 ins luggage. Thank you.

Regards
Teoh

Hi Teoh and welcome to rail.cc,

there are frequent trains between Zurich Airport ("Zürich Flughafen") and Zurich (the central station is called "Zürich HB").
A single ticket costs 3,40 CHF and can be bought from the ticket office at check-in area 3 or from one of the ticket machines. You need a "3 zone" ticket of the local transport association ZVV, which is valid on all trains from the airport towards Zurich.
Tickets are also available online from SBB (Swiss Railways) at [ux]https://rail.shop/sbb[/ux]

S-Bahn (suburban train) services run frequently and usually consist of double-deck trains; additional services are provided by different long-distance services (IC, EC, ICN, IR) which can also be used with the "3 zone" ticket. It is no problem to enter the trains with large luggage, however some trains do not have low-floor entry so if this is an issue I would simply wait for the next low-floor train - trains between airport and city centre operate frequently.
