Please help me with train information from Sarajevo and stop at Mostar and then to Medugorje the same day. I am travelling at the end of November and just would like to know the train schedule during this timeframe and costs. Also the return back from Medugorje to Sarjevo.Thank you!

Hi!

There are currently no trains running between Sarajevo and Mostar due to construction works. In November train should run again, probably one train in the morning and one train in the evening. I would recommend to ask here again in autumn, then we can provide detailed timetables.

From Mostar to Medjugorje you have to travel by bus; there are several buses running throughout the day. Buy your ticket locally at the bus station, which is adjacent to the train station.

Hi!

During the summer there have been two daily trains from Sarajevo to Mostar (one morning, one afternoon departure). From October, there will only be the afternoon departure running: Sarajevo dep 16:26 - 18:25 arr Mostar
More info about the train in the blog, I have been travelling there in July: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/sarajevo-mostar-train/[/ux]

Many buses from Mostar to Medjugorje are available at [ux]http://getbybus.com/[/ux]

I assume that there will be local buses to Kravice from Medjugorje, alternatively taxi is definitely a possibility and shouldnt cost much more than 10€ or so. Ask at your accomodation.
Anyway, I dont know how Kravice is like in the winter. We havent been there but instead went to Blagaj from Mostar which was also very nice (especially on a hot summer day where you can go swimming in the Buna river).

oh my..so now there is only one train in the afternoon to leave to Mostar for November? My final destination is Medjugorje and my ideal is to get there as early as possible. So I see the buses run more requently when I saw their schedule. They have morning departures. So I will have to select this route if they do not have morning trains on my travel date.
Also for my return date back from Mostar to Sarajevo on the 28th of November, what time is the train departure?
Or are there any other transportation modes you can recommend.
Thank you for your information. It is very helpful.

You can find the the train times in the blog post I posted: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/sarajevo-mostar-train/[/ux]
Only one train per day for the time being: Sarajevo to Mostar in the afternoon, Mostar to Sarajevo in the morning.

The trains runs via a very beautiful line and is probably more comfortable than the buses, but if you want to be in Medjugorje early you have to go by bus.

Everything you need to know about the trains Sarajevo to Mostar and return is described in the blog, please read it! :)
- buy the ticket locally at the station
- yes, by cash
- train from Mostar to Sarajevo leaves at 06:27

Bus tickets can be bought locally at the bus station (or at smaller towns/stops directly from the driver, but in Mostar and probably Medjugorje too you will by from the ticket desk at the station).
Some buses are also available to buy in advance online, via [ux]http://getbybus.com/[/ux] or [ux]http://busticket4.me/[/ux]
