Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the middle of my interrail trip! :)
I'm in Granada at this moment, and would like to go to the South of France (Avignon), but with two more stops in Spain, maybe Valencia.

Do you have any recommendations on places to visit on my way to France?
Not too many trains with reservation fees would be nice, but I feel like that's pretty difficult in Spain.

Thank you in advance!

You wont get by without reservations so I would recommend to use as many direct trains as possible.
Since you are in Granada at the moment - how does the bus replacement between Antequera and Granada work? Did you get extra reservations for the bus? Cost?

Valencia certainly would be a good option, however you would need two trains (=two reservations to get there). Have you been to Sevilla? You could then go Granada - Sevilla - Valencia and continue to Avignon from there.
However, keep in mind that Valencia - Avignon is also quite a long journey so you might want to include another intermediate stop on the way (for instance Girona or somewhere on the Cote Vermeille between Cerbere and Perpignan).

Thank you Flo or your advice!

As for the bus from Antequera to Granada, I made the reservation together with the train from Madrid, and there was no extra fee.

I was in Sevilla a few years ago, so I won't be going there this time.
I was maybe thinking about going directly to Barcelona (I will have to oay reservation fees anyway, like you said) and just visit the smaller places like Perpignan...
But Valencia seems interesting as well, so still hesitating on that.
It's nice to hear the options and ideas, so thank you for the advice!

Thanks for the info about the bus! :)
So you did get two separate reservations but just had to pay for the train (which train did you take/how much did you pay?).

As the night train Granada - Barcelona does not run at the moment you would have to travel during the day...if you choose this option you could also think about stopping at Zaragoza.
From there you could even go to Valencia via Teruel...although it would be a detour on your way to Avignon.

I had one ticket for the train (AVE) and bus from Antequera to Granada, but with separate reservation. It cost me 10,55eur.

Zaragoza seems very interesting, maybe I'll make a stop there. Thank you! :)
