Hey,

I'm currently travelling around Europe and will soon be in Croatia for hideout festival. I'm finding it really confusing when looking for a train from Split to Zadar as different website are saying different things. I need to travel on the Saturday 25th June and it is my understanding that there is a train at 8.27am from split to Knin. However, some websites are stating that there is a train from Knin to Zadar but when I asked a Croatian travel website they are saying to get a bus???
Please help!

Hi Courtney!

On the branch line from Knin to Zadar currently only replacement buses operate. You can look up the schedule directly on the website of Croatian Railways at [ux]https://rail.shop/hzpp[/ux]

I can confirm that the train station in Zadar, as well as the route between Zadar and Knin have stoped operating. Now the only way out of Zadar is by plane, Bus or Taxi.

We took the train originally from Zagreb to Gracac on the way down, and a bus from Gracac to Zadar.
But this was really dodgy and I wouldn't recommend it. And this is not possible on the way back as the connections are too terrible.

What about the replacement buses Zadar - Knin? Arent these operating anymore? It is really a shame that Croatian Railways didnt do more on this route - it seems they offered a bad timetable without connections in Knin on purpose...
