Plaza Mayor
The Plaza Mayor is a large rectangular square in the center of Madrid, which is completely surrounded by buildings. The place is very lively with lots of people and restaurants.
Puerta del Sol
The Puerta del Sol is a very lively place in Madrid. It also stands for the center of Spain. The metro station "Sol" is also the center of the metro network, because three metro lines meet here. However, the naming rights of the metro station were sold for three million euros in June 2013, so the station is now officially called "Vodafone Sol". On the square is the zero kilometer from Spain and all around there are many beautiful streets.
