Hi.. I'm in the beginning of planning my first Interrail trip, and i'm a bit confused on how many days i have to set aside for each country. Not quite sure of wich cities i want to visit either :) For now the plan looks like this:
Leaving Denmark in the morning on the 29th June, making a one day stopover in Slovenia (30/6) to see the Park Skocjanske Jame, early morning to late evening. Then heading down south to Athens, arriving in the morning on the 2 July, spending the 2-3-4th July in the Attika/Athens area.
Leaving Athens in the evening towards Patras, spending a day or so there, then taking the ferry to Bari, Italy. Dont think i will be staying here more than a few hours. I will take the train to Rome the same day, spending 2 or 3 days there, and then spending the same amount of days in the Toscana area, before heading to Livorno, where i will take the ferry to Barcelona. Also spend 2 or 3 days here. Next big stop would be Madrid, after that, Gibraltar. And if there is some time left, i thougt about going to Marocco, maybe even further down in Africa.
How does this sound? I'm planning on a full month pass, and are ready to spend an ekstra 7-10 days if i want to go further south into Africa. Would it be enough time?
Are there any other must see cities/areas in Greece, Italy, Spain? Portugal or France maybe?

Your plan is good. I always recommend staying 2-3 days in places so that you can explore and are not sitting on trains for most of your holiday. I suggest Florence as a great place for a couple of days and, in France, you can easily get to Nice and the Cote d'Azure, which is big and sunny place with loads of backpackers and beaches. Have a great trip.

I've done my first interrail this last summer and one thing I learned is that it's better to stay more time in each place ( the ones that deserve it ) and maybe not travel for so many places.
There will be places for which maybe 1 day is totally fine but others I really recommend at least 2 / 3 days.
About places and that stuff.. I'm portuguese and If you are coming to Portugal I would suggest Oporto instead of Lisbon. In France really don't miss Nice / Monaco. I think we had probably the best times is there. In slovenia go to Bled ( one of the most beautifull places in Europe ) and about Italy we honestly didn't enjoy a lot of Rome. In Italy I think that Florence and Venezia are the best options.
Also, If possible go to Budapeste and Praha. Probably the best nights of Europe ;)

Then you might be the one to answer this.. I thought about seeing Nights of the Enchanted Moor in Cacela-Velha, is that any fun? And what about the Ria Formosa Natural Park?

Ria Formosa natural park is great and it worth a visit absolutely. It is one of the most visited natural parks in Portugal and it is well preserved. There are 2walking tours suggested: Ilha Barreta (ou Deserta) and Ilha de Tavira (something like Desert Island and Tavira’ Island). My suggestion is Ilha de Tavira. Very beautiful.
About Nights of the Enchanted Moor in Cacela-Velha, I experimented something like that in another place and I liked. I think that is a theatral recreation in a castle about reminisces of Muslims presence in Portugal. It’s a different experience with lot entertainment and I'm sure you will have fun there. You’ll feel like you are in a piece of the 1001 Nights! :P Really.
