Hello,

Me and a friend are travelling to Calais on the first of March, and we plan to travel to Boulogne-sur-Mer on the train once we have arrived. A small problem has arisen in that I cant seem to find a definitive location for the train station in Calais? Whether I'm just being an idiot or not I don't know, but does anyone know where the main station is in Calais? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks,

Merrpip

There are two stations in Calais:

:arr: Calais Ville
:arr: Calais Fréthun
:arr: Calais Les Fontinettes (in between the above two)

Most TER (regional) trains call at both stations; the fast TGV and TER GV services call at Fréthun only. I assume you will arrive from the UK? When coming by ferry, you should head for Calais Ville (it's ~40 minutes walk from the terminal but there also is a bus service operating between terminal and train station). When using Eurotunnel you can use Calais Fréthun as it is very close to the car terminal and Eurostar trains call there directly.

:arr: Google Maps:
50.953461,1.851146 (Calais Ville)
50.901643,1.811453 (Calais Fréthun)

And if you want to support the work here at the website and forum, please buy your official IR ticket at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] . Thank you. :)
