Hello!

We are trying, and failing miserably, to understand exactly how to book this train on the 27th June.
Does anyone know how you go about booking an overnight train?
We have phoned up an inter-rail company who could book it for us but were not able to send the tickets out on time (we leave on 14th june).
We will be in Vienna about a week or so before we need to take the train, can you reverse the overnight whilst you are in the same country?

We may just be missing something completely obvious, but it's all a bit confusing!

Any help at all would be AMAZING!
Thanks,
Kirsty

Hi Kirsty.

Villach-Roma: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/vienna-rome-en-235/92

It is no problem to buy the reservation for this night train in Vienna at one of the big train stations (OEBB / ÖBB ticket window).

About reservations just read here:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

Most trains you can not reserve online.

Have a sunny trip, Peter :)

Hi!

Yeah, that's no problem to book it at a station a week before. You dont even neccessarily have to be in the same country to make reservations - many railways around Europe have a common booking system that works for most trains. :) So if you go ie to Wien Westbahnhof or Wien Meidling it wont be a problem to make the reservations for the night train.
