The Feuerkugel in Erfurt is a restaurant with tradition. You get real Thuringian cuisine and of course the famous Thuringian dumplings ("Thüringer Klöße") which I definitely recommend! Often I dont want to eat too much so I order "Kloß mit Soße" (dumplings with sauce). [b]Location[/b] centrally: - Direct access to over Krämerbrücke; - On the Benediktsplatz; - Direct access to the Andreasviertel If you do not walk, then use the tram either exit stop "Johannesstraße" or "Fischmarkt". [b]Opening times[/b] Monday to Sunday from 1100 to 0000h. Note: kitchen is open until 2200h. [b]Space[/b] In the large dining room, I guess about 60 people. In summer you can sit either in front of the house, but also in the yard. [b]Price example[/b] Riebeck Pils 0.3 l = 2.10 EUR Müller-Thurgau (Saale-Unstrut) 0.2 L = 3.90 EUR Dumplings with sauce = 2.00 EUR Main dishes are around 10 EUR. [b]Note[/b] To avoid disappointment I would like to mention: they only offer hot meal. So, no sausage and cheese plate or something.

The "Artemis" is a Greek restaurant in Erfurt's historic district, right on the water. Since it is not on the main tourist paths, it often remains undetected for non-residents. But it is a "secret" among the inhabitants of the town and therefore still always well attended. Reserve in advance. It's always nice to spend a warm summer evening on the terrace. Beside the beautiful location, the prices are acceptable. We love to come again and again. Opening times: Daily 11:30-14:30h and from 17:00-00:00h

Italian restaurant located directly at "Brühler Garten" and the theatre. No tourists, as located BEHIND the cathedral - and for most tourists the tour stops at the cathedrals place. Open daily from 10:30h. Reasonably priced lunch menu = pasta dish for 4.90 EUR. You can choose from three variants of pasta (spaghetti, macaroni, tortellini) and select one of six sauces to combine. I had macaroni with vegetables. The portion was just right in size and tasted good. Drinks are a bit expensive, but good food at this price. 0.2 liter Coke = 2.20 EUR 0.2 liter apple juice = 2.50 EUR Don't mix this DA VINCI with DA VINCI in the "Bahnhofstraße". This one here is called DA VINCI DA PAOLO (see photo).
La Gondola
The "La Gondola" is an Italian restaurant in Erfurt's Old Town, right on the water. It's always nice to spend a warm summer evening on the patio. Despite the great location you have acceptable prices. We love to come again and again.

The "Pier37" is located in the historic old town, right on the water. Very pleasant atmosphere. Excellent cuisine. Open daily from 11:00h. Monday to Friday at unchtime a special lunch offer. Very well attended, so a table reservation is recommended.

Those who don't want to eat an other Thuringian Bratwurst, should get a soup, a sandwich or a salad at HENNER HENNER is centrally located in the city center. It is hard to find for tourists because it is in a small street beside the pedestrian zone "Anger" Opening times: Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 16.00 h
Eiscafé Polo
How many times I've been running at this ice cream parlor over? I never gave it a try - but now I have to say: try it, it is definitely worth! Open every day from 09:00 to 21:00 h. From 09:00 to 13:00 h they offer a breakfast in different variations. The simplest one is the "Italian breakfast" (cappuccino and croissant) at a price of 3.30 EUR. Other proposals are on the menu, also breakfast with salmon etc. You can also order individual components. I also enjoy their offer of snacks such as Bruschetta. Perfect on hot summer days. If you want warm food, which can also order pasta. There is of course a wide selection of ice. I could see various cakes. I think I'll go more often.
