Deutsche Bahn proudly advertises that some of the DB regional trains serve international destinations. In order to use a single country pass, I am very interested in knowing how to identify these possibilities.

Do you have a suggestion?

To clarify, I am interested in using either an NRW pass or a Schoneswochenender pass, which is only good on regional trains, not IC or ICE. I have posted a related question regarding use of French trains in Germany as another alternative to get out of Germany in order to make a single country pass valid.

Hi!

NRW pass (you probably are talking about "SchönerTagTicket NRW"?) is valid only on these lines outside of NRW (marked red; last stop where the ticket is valid is also marked with a red dot): [ux]http://busse-und-bahnen.nrw.de/tickets-tarife/hintergrund-nrw-tarif/tarifregeln-von-a-bis-z/geltungsbereich-von-tickets-im-nrw-tarif/geltungsbereich-pauschalpreistickets/[/ux]

Schönes Wochenende Ticket is valid on these services (including some lines across the border): [ux]https://www.bahn.de/p/view/mdb/bahnintern/angebotsberatung/regio/mdb_254510_geltungsbereich_swt.pdf[/ux]
