Hello

You have a topic on this forum for the Estrella night train coming from France and heading through Barcelona and onto Madrid, but I can't find any info on the other direction.

I want to travel from Madrid to Barcelona on the Estrella night train on friday march 12 and was wondering if the same IR supplements apply for this route? I looked on your European timetable site and the train isn't there when I search for it but it is there on the RENFE site, leaving Madrid at 22.50 and arriving Barcelona 07.36. Is this info correct? And is it still 3euro supplement for a 2nd class seat and 9euro for a 6-bed couchette?

Thanks!

Hi ...

I just updated the topic.
It is the train you mentioned. Fares are the same:

Attention as some minutes an expensive Hotel Train leaves as well in direction of Spain.

Peter :)

Hello,

I'm planning to travel from Madrid to Barcelona by a night train on Sep 5th (Sun). I've checked the European timetable and it shows D370 will leave Madrid-Chamartin at 22:50 to Barcelona Sants at 07:36 the next day. But I can't see this train on Renfe website for Sep 5th. Does it mean there is no night train for that day for this route? And, if they do have this train that day, should I reserve online or at the counter?

Thanks,
Kati

Hi Kati!

Difficult to say - maybe they are updating the timetable at the beginning of September...it's a little weird that it is shown throughout the summer and then suddenly stops. Maybe check later again, in a month or so and the train will be shown then also on the RENFE site.
About the reservation: You cant do it online, you'll have to go to a station.
