As part of my trip I was planning to stay in Belgrade, but since the attack on the UK Embassy, I have decided not to any more... However, I would still like to go through the train station (and only be there for a couple of hours) in between night trains. Will the service from Belgrade - Sofia be disrupted by the rioting at the border?

I am checking with the UK Embassy as well but I wanted to get as many answers as possible!

Belgrade is a wonderful place - you really shouldn't miss out on it just because of a few idiots. The vast majority of people have been protesting completely peaceful, its a shame a few ruin it because the it gets blown up by the media and then people may decide not to go! As to whether the trains will be disrupted, you really wont know until you get there however its very unlikely unless the situation deteriorates between now and when you go. You seem do be doing the right thing by contacting the embassy.

I am sure you are not going to face any problem at all..
Beograd is a wonderful city and it deserves a stop to explore it :)
Also Kosovo is southwestern so it doesn't affect routes to Greece or Bulgaria.

From what you guys have said I would really like to go there still... However, my parents are very worried and I want to keep them happy, so I think I will have to go another time. Thanks for the info!
