Furthermore, there is international air traffic from Funchal. There is an airport bus, connecting the city of Fuchal and the airport for EUR 5 (20 km distance). However, the bus runs only at longer intervals.

This is located in the northeast of the city, near Campo da Barca. Tickets can be bought at the kiosk on the main street. The clerk who sell the tickets, speaks English. In addition, he is very attentive and always looks that no one gets into the wrong bus (the buses are often not on time, so that there could be confusion). As soon as the bus approaches the stop, he comes out of his sales stand to the stop and secure, so that everyone gets into the right bus.

There operates so-called "Aerobus". The stops are marked with a corresponding label. One-way costs 5 EUR. (Unfortunately, I failed to take a corresponding photo.)
