Do I need an Interrail or a Eurail Pass?

Your current residence over the past six months will determine if you need to buy an Interrail or Eurail Pass. If you have been living in Europe for the past six months or longer (including Turkey and Russia), you have to buy an Interrail Pass. Otherwise, you'll have to buy an Eurail Pass. Important if you want to buy Interrail and do not have an European passport: you must be able to prove by official documents that your country of residence of the past six months has been in Europe. Disadvantage of the Interrail Pass: it is not valid in your country of residence. The Eurail Pass does not have this restriction because the country of residence is outside of Europe.
