I know that up until recently it is running on 3 days a week. Does anyone know if the cancellation of the train from Hendaye to Paris also applies to this route, too?

Unfortunately the same things apply to the Paris - Irun train as they do for the train in the opposite direction from Hendaye to Paris: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/night-train-hendaye-paris/f12850#55661[/ux]
The train will most likely be withdrawn beginning of July. :(
Until then it should normally run three days a week: Monday, Friday and Sunday with some additional services around holidays.
