I want to take the night train from Hendaye to Paris in July (probably around 20th). Looking at timetables and booking sites, I see the train up to 12 June, but it does not appear after that. Does anyone know if it is just not yet available to book, or if it is discontinued? I have seen posts elsewhere suggesting it might be discontinued sometime, but nothing official. SNCF site says nothing I can find.

Hi Nanook and welcome to rail.cc,

unfortunately the night train from Hendaye to Paris is set to be withdrawn from July 1. SNCF argues that with the introduction of TGV services on the new high speed line from Tours to Bordeaux (LISEA) the night train would become obsolete.
It already runs on few selected days only (mainly around weekends) so I would not recommend to plan your trip with the night train. It may continue to run during the summer but I guess that it is more likely that SNCF will stick to their plan and discontinue the night train by July 1.

Thank you very much, but what a pity. I will use your link when I do book something.
