Hello!

First time interrail traveler here. I am a bit confused about how the travel diary is supposed to be filled out. I am not sure whether every changes should be written down or just the destinations.

Example:

From Kolding (Denmark) to Amsterdam (Netherlands), I will need to change 2 times. First in Hamburg (Germany) and then Duisberg (Germany) before I land in Amsterdam.

Now do I just write Kolding - Amsterdam, or do I write:
Kolding- Hamburg
Hamburg - Duisberg
Duisberg - Amsterdam.

The latter seems a bit silly, which is why i am a bit confused about this. Sorry if this has been asked before!

Thanks a ton for reading

Hi Johan,

you have to fill in every train you use; so for your trip from Kolding to Amsterdam you have to write all three trains. The reason behind this is that by doing so railway companies can calculate how many kilometres are travelled in each country and distribute the money accordingly between them. :)
