If you want to travel from Greece to Bulgaria by train, buy your train ticket locally at the train station in Thessaloniki. There are no online tickets available.

There are two rail connections between Greece and Bulgaria, however only the line from Thessaloniki to Sofia via the Strimon/Kulata border crossing is open at the moment.

Para viajar de Grecia a Italia, tienes que tomar los ferries de Minoan Lines o Superfast Ferries. Estos circulan desde Patras, pasando por Igumenitsa, hasta Bari, Ancona, Trieste y Venecia. Todos los puertos de ferry excepto Igumenitsa tienen conexiones de tren. Patras está en el Peloponeso y tiene una conexión de tren desde Atenas. Sin embargo, actualmente en el último tramo de la línea, entre Patras y Kiato, circula un servicio de bus en su lugar. Igumenitsa está en el norte de Grecia y tiene conexiones de bus desde Kalambaka y Salónica. Encontrarás conexiones de tren frecuentes desde Bari y Ancona a lo largo de la costa del Adriático y a través de Italia hacia ciudades como Roma, Nápoles, Florencia, Bolonia y Milán.

Buy your train tickets from Greece to Macedonia locally at a station. There is only one railway line across the border, running from Thessaloniki to Skopje. The night train from Thessaloniki via Skopje to Belgrade is the only train running across the border.

An alternative way to travel between the two countries is to travel by train to Florina, then cross the border with a taxi and continue from Bitola in Macedonia by train to Skopje.

There is one direct night train available from Thessaloniki (Greece) via Skopje (Macedonia) to Belgrade (Serbia). If this night train does not run, you have to travel from Thessaloniki (Greece) via Sofia (Bulgaria) to Belgrade (Serbia).

To travel from Greece to Turkey, you have to use a bus. There is no direct train anymore. A train connection could be via Sofia (Bulgaria), but takes a lot more of time than by bus.
There are several direct (overnight) bus connections available from the bigger Greek cities (Athens, Thessaloniki, ...) to Istanbul (Turkey). Have a look at the links.
