I´´ ve bought an interrail pass and filled in the country of residence (Portugal), except my plan was ride to the airport and fly to another country and start my Journey there a few weeks later. What are the consequences of this? What do I fill in for the first day?
For example: I go to the netherlands on 1st of july and stay there for few weeks. After that I start my Journey on 10th of July (Startdate of interrail). Can I just fill in the first travel day on 10th of july that I go from Netherlands to Berlin, even though my country of residence is Portugal? So basically I dont start with an outbound travel, but I start traveling immidiatly

.) You want to travel by plane to Amsterdam, then want to start Interrail a few days later?
This is no problem, as you do not have to use inbound/outbound journeys. You simply enter the date of your journey from Amsterdam to Berlin [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/amsterdam-berlin/[/ux] as first travel day on the pass and leave the field for outbound journey empty.

PS: If your Interrail pass is valid already when you leave Portugal, you can of course travel by CP train from your hometown to the airport, using the outbound trip. However this requires a travel day, so I guess it will be cheaper to use regular tickets to do so.
