There are no passenger trains between Albania and Montenegro. To cross the border, travel by bus or minibus. There are frequent conections betwen Shkoder and Ulcinj as well as services from Shkoder to Podgorica and also long distance buses operating from Tirana via Shkoder and Podgorica to Kotor.

1e Travelling from Berlin (Germany) to Gothenburg (Sweden)

Tickets to selected destinations in Sweden are available from DB (German Railways) directly via our partner link.

The "Sparpreis Europa" saver fares are available to cities such as Göteborg, Stockholm and Malmö. They always include transit through Denmark using either DB IC Buses or EC trains. From Copenhagen to Sweden, tickets are only available for travel with either SJ high speed trains (designated as "X2" when booking) or the Oresund regional trains. It is not possible to book a ticket valid on both types of trains!

If you want to travel with the Berlin - Malmö night train in the summer you have to book it separately too from the operator "Snalltaget".

- buy a saver fare ticket via the Deutsche Bahn booking link from Germany to Sweden. These saver fares are available for example to Malmö, Göteborg or Stockholm.

- if it is not possible to book the whole trip in one ticket via the Deutsche Bahn link, split it into two bookings:
First ticket from Germany to Malmö, Göteborg or Stockholm via the booking link of Deutsche Bahn.
Second ticket from Malmö, Göteborg or Stockholm to your destination in Sweden via the ACPRail/SJ booking link.

1f Travelling from Gothenburg (Sweden) to Oslo (Norway)

To travel from Gothenburg/Göteborg to Oslo by train, use one of the direct train connections. There are usually two to three connections per day with a journey time of about 3:40h. One-way train tickets are available from 25 Euro.
Beside the train connections between Sweden and Norway, you will also find a lot of bus connections.

1g Travelling from Oslo (Norway) to Bodø (Norway)

To travel in Norway by train with NSB, please buy your train ticket online via one of the following booking links. There you find exact schedules and ticket prices. Advance fares (Minipris) can be considerably cheaper compared to full fare tickets.

For connections along the coast and in the far north you have to go with buses. For example from Bodö/Fauske to Narvik, to the Lofoten or from Narvik to North Cape. Narvik is connected by train from Sweden.

2f Travelling from Stockholm (Sweden) to Narvik (Norway)

To travel from Sweden to Norway by train, there are three main routes available. In the south from Göteborg (Sweden) in direction of Oslo (Norway). In the middle from Östersund (Sweden) to Trondheim (Norway). And in the north coming for example from Stockholm (Sweden) or Lulea (Sweden) via Abisko (Sweden) to Narvik (Norway).

The best route for you depends on your departure station in Sweden. Please use the following booking links to find the best route, schedules and ticket prices. If you book early, you will find attractive discount fares.

Both countries offer very good night train connections to travel long-distance. The railway network in the North of Norway is not connected between Narvik and Fauske/Bodö. You have to take the bus for this part.

2g Travelling from Narvik (Norway) to Bodø (Norway)

To travel from Narvik to Bodø, you have to use the bus. There is no train connecting these two cities in Northern Norway. It is possible to exit the bus already in Fauske. From Fauske and Bodø you have train connections to Trondheim.
