Tow direct long-distance night trains connect Russia with France. One from Moscow via Germany and Strasbourg to Paris. A second one from Moscow via Austria and Italy to Nice. They do not run daily.

1d Travelling from Paris (France) to Irun (Spain)

To travel by train from France to Spain, use first one of the direct high-speed trains from France (Paris) or southern France (Marseille) to Barcelona. There you change to your destination in Spain. Another option is to cross the border at Irun/Hendaye and to continue from there to your destination in Spain. Please use the following booking links to find schedules and ticket prices. In some cases you have to buy two tickets. One from France to Barcelona (Spain) and a second one from Barcelona to your destination in Spain. Book early to get discounts and saver fares.

1e Travelling from Irun (Spain) to Lisbon (Portugal)

There are only two rail links between Spain and Portugal: the night trains from Madrid and Irun to Lisbon and the Celta trains in the north from Vigo to Porto. There is no rail connection in the south, when travelling between Sevilla and Faro we recommend to take the direct bus instead.

New is the day train connection with changes between Madrid and Lisbon.

Train tickets are available online via our partner ACPRail or directly from RENFE. International tickets from Spain to Portugal are not available directly from CP (Portuguese Railways).

2d Travelling from Warsaw (Poland) to Berlin (Germany)

To travel from Warsaw to Berlin by train, buy a "Sparpreis Europa" saver ticket of German railways Deutsche Bahn. The ticket price starts from 29 Euro. The journey time is about 6:30. There are at least four direct connections per day by the Berlin-Warszawa-Express.

2e Travelling from Berlin (Germany) to Paris (France)

To travel from Germany to France by train, use a route either via Cologne to Lille/Paris by Thalys train. Or from Frankfurt or Stuttgart via Saarbrücken/Strasbourg to Paris by TGV/ICE. There is also a direct train from Frankfurt in direction of Marseille. Please use the given booking links to find schedules and ticket prices. Prices are usually the same, but sometimes vary slightly.

If you want to use a night train, have a look at the Russian night train Moscow to Paris (enter in Berlin). A very nice experience and high quality, but does not run daily!

The Europe Special price of Deutsche Bahn (German railways) is available from EUR 39. As earlier you book, as cheaper the ticket prices are.

2f Travelling from Paris (France) to Lisbon (Portugal)

To travel from France to Portugal by train, there are two main routes. It depends from where you start in France.

The first route is by TGV from the direction of Paris and Bordeaux to the French-Spanish border at Hendaye/Irun. Here you change in the direct night train to Lisbon.
Buy your tickets in two steps: first from your departure station in France to Hendaye via Trainline or SNCF (see booking links). Then a second ticket either from Hendaye or Irun to Lisbon via ACPRail (see booking links).

The second route is from the direction of Marseille via Barcelona to Madrid. There you change to the direct night train to Lisbon.
Buy your tickets in two steps: first from your departure station in France to Barcelona/Madrid via Trainline or SNCF (see booking links). Then a second ticket either from Madrid to Lisbon via ACPRail (see booking links).
