The departure time in Marseille is 08:00. The arrival time in Barcelona is 12:30.

The railway stations are called "Marseille St Charles" and "Barcelona Sants".

There are as well other train connections available using Intercity and regional trains in France and in Spain. Also a scenic detour via Latour de Carol is possible including the "Petit Train Jaune".

1b Travelling from Barcelona (Spain) to Madrid (Spain)

The fastest way to travel from Barcelona to Madrid is by AVE high-speed-train of RENFE. The journey time is only 2,5 hours for the distance of 620 kilometres. Second class tickets are available from 40 EUR and first class tickets from 55 EUR. There are frequent connections available, at least one every hour. The departure station in Barcelona is called "Barcelona Sants". The arrival station in Madrid is called "Madrid Atocha".

2a Travelling from Marseille (France) to Irun (Spain)

To travel by train from France to Spain, use first one of the direct high-speed-trains from France (Paris) or southern France (Marseille) to Barcelona. There you change to your destination in Spain.

Another option is to cross the border at Irun/Hendaye and to continue from there to your destination in Spain. Some routes run via Latour-de-Carol.
