To travel by train from London in the United Kingdom to Lisbon in Portugal, first travel to London. From there by Eurostar train to Paris. Then by high-speed-train in direction of the French-Spanish border. There you change to the night train to Lisbon.

Buy first a ticket from your departure station in the United Kingdom to London (ACPRail). A second one for London to Paris (Eurostar + Trainline + SNCF + ACPRail). A third one from Paris to Irun or Hendaye (Trainline + SNCF). And for the night train one from Irun or Hendaye to Lisbon (ACPRail).

1A Travelling from London (United Kingdom) to Paris (France)
To travel from London to Paris by train, you have to use the direct Eurostar train. The journey time is about 2:30 h.
Buy your train ticket for Eurostar and find schedules via the given booking links. As earlier you book, as cheaper the ticket prices are.

An other travel option is to use a bus. The journey is much longer, but usually cheaper. Flixbus runs this route several times per day, but as well other bus companies.

The journey by train and including the ferry Dover (United Kingdom) to Calais (France) is for now no nice option anymore. The journey is long and the ferry got really expensive for foot passengers since several years.

1B Travelling from Paris (France) to Lisbon (Portugal)
To travel from France to Portugal by train, there are two main routes. It depends from where you start in France.

The first route is by TGV from the direction of Paris and Bordeaux to the French-Spanish border at Hendaye/Irun. Here you change in the direct night train to Lisbon.
Buy your tickets in two steps: first from your departure station in France to Hendaye via Trainline or SNCF (see booking links). Then a second ticket either from Hendaye or Irun to Lisbon via ACPRail (see booking links).

The second route is from the direction of Marseille via Barcelona to Madrid. There you change to the direct night train to Lisbon.
