To travel in Finland by train, buy your train ticket via the given booking links. There you find exact schedules and ticket prices. Booking in advance will give you the best fares. Tickets for long distance trains include seat reservations. Good to know: Finish railways VR offer an excellent night train service which is recommended to travel the country from south (Helsinki, Turku, Tampere) to the north (Rovaniemi, Lapland).

Buy the train ticket at a railway station. Note: in some countries you have to pay a service fee at the ticket counter. The ticket can be purchased at a station in the country of departure, also sometimes in other countries.
To travel by ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm, book a direct overnight ferry. The daily departure time in Helsinki is in the late afternoon. The arrival in Stockholm in the morning.
If you want to travel by a cheaper ferry or during the day (not overnight), you have to take a ferry route from Turku to Stockholm.
The journey time is about 17 hours. The ticket prices depends on the day you travel. Use the given booking links to find an exact ticket price and the schedule.

The "Sparpreis Europa" saver fares are available from cities such as Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö. They always include transit through Denmark using either DB IC Buses or EC trains. From Sweden to Copenhagen, tickets are only available for travel with either SJ high speed trains (designated as "X2" when booking) or the Oresund regional trains. It is not possible to book a ticket valid on both types of trains!
If you want to travel with the Malmö - Berlin night train in the summer you have to book it separately too from the operator "Snalltaget".
How to buy tickets:
- buy a saver fare ticket via the Deutsche Bahn booking link from Sweden to Germany. These saver fares are available for example from Stockholm, Göteborg or Malmö.
- if it is not possible to book the whole trip in one ticket via the Deutsche Bahn link, split it into two bookings:
First ticket from your departure station in Sweden to Stockholm, Göteborg or Malmö via the booking link of ACPRail/SJ.
Second ticket from Stockholm, Göteborg or Malmö to Germany via the Deutsche Bahn booking link.

To travel from Germany to France by train, use a route either via Cologne to Lille/Paris by Thalys train. Or from Frankfurt or Stuttgart via Saarbrücken/Strasbourg to Paris by TGV/ICE. There is also a direct train from Frankfurt in direction of Marseille. Please use the given booking links to find schedules and ticket prices. Prices are usually the same, but sometimes vary slightly.
If you want to use a night train, have a look at the Russian night train Moscow to Paris (enter in Berlin). A very nice experience and high quality, but does not run daily!
The Europe Special price of Deutsche Bahn (German railways) is available from EUR 39. As earlier you book, as cheaper the ticket prices are.
