For connections along the coast and in the far north you have to go with buses. For example from Bodö/Fauske to Narvik, to the Lofoten or from Narvik to North Cape. Narvik is connected by train from Sweden.

1b Travelling from Oslo (Norway) to Gothenburg (Sweden)

To travel from Oslo to Gothenburg/Göteborg by train, use one of the direct train connections. There are usually two to three connections per day with a journey time of about 3,5 hours. One-way train tickets are available from 25 Euro.

The route consist of more than one step. You have to buy several train tickets.

2a Travelling from Fauske (Norway) to Narvik (Norway)

To travel from Fauske to Narvik, you have to use the bus. There is no train connecting between these two cities in Northern Norway. The bus starts already in Bodø. You reach Fauske and Bodø by train connections from Oslo and Trondheim.

The journey time from Fauske to Narvik is 4:50 hours. The ticket price is 498 NOK / 50 EUR. There are discounts available for youths, students and seniors.

It is bus line number 100 with departure time in "Fauske stasjon" (the railway station of Fauske) at 08:55 and 18:10. The arrival time is 13:30 and 23:00 at "Narvik bussterminal" (the bus terminal).

2b Travelling from Narvik (Norway) to Stockholm (Sweden)

Travel from Narvik to Stockholm by direct overnight train NT93. The journey time is 18:10 hours. Train tickets are available from 50 EUR (500 SEK).
