1b Travelling from Lisbon (Portugal) to Madrid (Spain)

Travel from Lisbon to Madrid by the overnight train "Lusitania". The journey time is 10 hours. The train ticket fare starts from 25 EUR.

The departure time in Lisbon is 21:30. The arrival time in Madrid is 08:30. The train number is: Trenhotel 335.

This comfortable "Talgo" train offers four service categories:
- "Turista": 2nd class seats
- "Cama Turista": four-bed compartments. The beds are comfortable and there is a washing basin in the compartment. This service category offers the best value for your money.
- "Cama Preferente": two-bed compartments, which offer more privacy, including a washing basin.
- "Cama Gran Clase": two-bed compartments. This most luxurious travel option offers a private shower and WC in your compartment.

To travel from Faro (Portugal) to Sevilla (Spain) you have to use a bus. There is no direct train connection available. The journey time is 2,5 hours. Bus tickets are available from 8 Euro.

If you want to use a train, you first have to travel from Faro to Lisbon (Portugal). Continue by night train from Lisbon to Madrid (Spain). And from Madrid to Seville (Spain) by high-speed-train.

3b Travelling from Porto (Portugal) to Vigo (Spain)

There are only two rail links between Portugal and Spain: the night trains from Lisbon to Madrid and Irun. And the Celta trains in the north from Porto to Vigo. There is no rail connection in the south. When travelling between Faro to Sevilla we recommend to take the direct bus instead.

New is the day train connection with changes between Lisbon and Madrid.
