Trenord regional trains operate in the region of Lombardia around Milan in the north of Italy. They are usually all-station stopping services connecting smaller towns and villages with the larger cities of the area. In the vicinity of Milan, where suburban trains operate the all-station services, regional trains do skip smaller stations.

A wide variety of trains is used for Trenord regional trains, ranging from double-deck trains on electrified main lines to small diesel railcars on secondary lines. Most trains have air-condition and offer both 2nd and 1st class seats, however especially on secondary lines trains might offer 2nd class only. Many trains have facilites for the disabled. Most trains convey bicycles. Folding bikes and bikes in a bag are free of charge, for regular bikes an additional ticket is required. You can either buy a day ticket for 3€ or an additional 2nd class ticket for the distance travelled.
