my family is living in Cologne, Germany. If I use a French single country interrail pass, am I eligible for travel on the French Thalys or TGV trains that serve Cologne or Frankfurt?
In other words, does the trip count as FRANCE because I am using a French rail service, or
Does the location determine the eligibility, and I still must pay my own separate ticket to get across the border (this is the most expensive part of the journey!)?

Hi!

If you have a Interrail One Country Pass France you are eligible for the "Pass fare" and can use all Thalys services from/to France (except for Thalys Neige and Soleil services to Bourg St Maurice and Marseille).
This means you can get reservations for your Thalys trip from Cologne to Paris; available online at [ux]https://rail.shop/beurope/reservation/[/ux]

The Interrail Pass has to cover at least the country of origin or destination of your trip with Thalys.

More information about Thalys services: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/thalys/41[/ux] and [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/thalys-paris-cologne/[/ux]
