On 19.9.2018 we want to travel by the night train B340 from Stara Pazova (or Novi Sad or Belgrade) to Budapest: 2 adults + 1 dog. Because of the dog, we need a couchette for our own use! How can we make a reservation in advance so that we are certain to have a couchette for our own? How to order the tickets?

Reservations for this train should be available through any larger railway company offering sales via telephone, for instance DB (German Railways) via +49 180 6 99 66 33 or ÖBB (Austrian Railways) via +43 5 17 17.
They should be able to sell you the reservation and send it via post.
Other option would be Wasteels agency in Budapest [ux]https://rail.shop/wasteels/[/ux] or SV (Serbian Railways) which also offers advance reservations via phone, however reservations have to be collected at a major station in Serbia within 24 hours of the call so probably not a suitable option for you?
