Hi,
i can't guarantee that the information is right :) but as I read in another forum you have to change the bus in
Struga
Skopje Bus Station: www.sas.com.mk/default.aspx?cid=1053&l=34
Skopje - Struga : www.skopje.com.mk/angliski/megju.asp

www.avtobuskastanicatetovo.com.mk/en/megjunaroden%20transport.html (there's a direct connection from TETOVO, so I think there will be a direct one from Skopje too :) ) Otherwise you can go to Tetovo from Skopje

Check eurobus.mk/index.php for more information :)

Hey!
This June I did the journey by bus on the route Tirana - Skopje. There is a direct bus connection (well, actually it's rather a minivan, not a standard bus). In Tirana it leaves from the backside of the National Musem (Muzeu Historik Kombetar) very close to the main square - Sheshi Skanderbej. The street is Rruga Ded Gjo Luli. There is a small ticket office where you can buy the ticket (as for as I remember 20EUR one-way). Bus leaves Tirana at 19:00 (you have to be there half an hour before) and it is supposed to be in Skopje at 5:00 in the morning (I was faster, about 3am). In Skopje, it DOES NOT stop at the bus station, but a little bit westwards (about 30-35min by feet to the bus/train station). The bus also stops in Elbasan and Librazhd in Albania (I'm not sure about the stop in Librazhd, but the bus passes the town for sure), and then in Macedonia it stops in Struga (if you don't want to continue to Skopje, you can leave in Struga and go to Ohrid which is really close), (Kicevo?), Gostivar, Tetovo and Skopje. The route is really picturesque (specially the Albanian part around Elbasan - in the Summer it's still not so dark so you can see the landscapes). I did not return, bus according to Skopje bus station the direct buses to Tirana leave Skopje Bus Station at 6:00am (1pm in Tirana) and 7pm (3:50am in Tirana). I did not check it personally, so I can't be sure. Have a good journey! :D
PS. And one more thing: locals in Albania say that it is cheaper to get a bus from Tirana to the border town of Perrenjas, than a taxi to Struga in Macedonia, and from there another bus to Skopje.
