Prague Castle

Pražský hrad

The Prague Castle is located in the North-West from the city centre. Easy to reach by foot walk via the Charles Bridge. You will have an amazing view over the city. The castle was founded in around 880 by Prince Bořivoj of the Premyslid Dynasty (Přemyslovci). It is an UNESCO World Heritage site.

Charles Bridge Prague

Karlův most Praha

The Charles Bridge (Karlův most) is a historic bridge that crosses the Moldau (Vltava) river in Prague. The constructions started in 1357 and finished in the beginning of the 15th century. The Charles Bridge was the only crossing of the river Moldau (Vltava) 1841 connecting the old town with the castle. Therefore it was as well an important trade route between Western and Eastern Europe.

The Golden Lane (Zlatá ulička) in Prague. It is a small lane inside the castle where Franz Kafka lived between 1916 and 1917. In the past, the kings alchemists tried there to produce gold. Therefore the name "Golden Lande". You have to pay an entrance fee. After 1600h it's free!
