NORDKAPP (North Cape) | train
A direct travel to the Nordkapp by train is not possible.
Most northern railway stations to reach Nordkapp are NARVIK in Norway
and ROVANIEMI in Finland
From there it is still a long way by bus from the most northern railway stations.
One way is going by bus from ALTA
(Norway) to the NORDKAPP
(takes 4-5 hours). To get to ALTA, you also need a bus, starting for example in NARVIK
(takes more than a half day).
Arriving by bus from NARVIK, you have to stay normally one night in ALTA.
From ALTA you can use a direct bus to the NORDKAPP, but only in the summer months. Otherwise the buses ends in Honningsvåg, which is about 45 minutes (35 km) away from the NORDKAPP by bus.
Narvik - Nordkapp
Alta - Nordkapp
If you are coming from Finland, use a bus (about 12h of travel and one-way: ~ 90 EUR) in ROVANIEMI
and go up to the NORDKAPP
You can make a stop in IVALO if you like.

My personal opinion: if you have the time and the money, it is okay to visit the Nordkapp. But after traveling trough peaceful and empty nature you will meet at the Nordkapp hundreds of tourists. The nature you can see during the bus travels is amazing. I recommend to travel this journey one day by own car instead of using the bus. You are free and can enjoy the nature much better, have stops along your trip.
