Leos Brasserie in Leipzig

Most visits Leipzig for us are just day trips. But we also had some overnight stays. In Leo's Brasserie we were very satisfied guests and therefore I would like to recommend you this location here. For train travelers Leo's Brasserie is good to reach because it is located near the train station (on the road between the station and city center). Leo's Brasserie is located in the square between Brühl - Nikolaistraße - Salzgässchen and Reichsstraße. You have to be attentive in order to discover it, because it is located somewhat inconspicuously in a prefabricated block. OOO opening times OOO Monday - Saturday: 11.00 - open end Sunday: Brunch 10.00 - 14.00 from 14.00 until open end OOO Number of places OOO * Approx. 250 Non smoking seats * Approx. Smoking rooms 120 * In the summer, at least an additional 200 free places on the terrace OOO look at the menu (our consumption) OOO 5 Urkrostritzer a 0.5 l = 2.90 EUR = 14.50 EUR 1 wine spritzer 0.2 l = 2,90 EUR 1 Bruschetta = 3.60 EUR 1 Baked feta cheese = 5,30 EUR 2 Escalope Dubarry (with cauliflower) a 6.60 EUR = 13.20 EUR 1 mug of coffee = 2,50 EUR 1 pancake = 3.80 EUR 1 espresso = 1.70 EUR Total: 47,50 EUR I think the prices are totally fine, for a city like Leipzig. The prices for food are remarkable. I have to note that the quality of food was really good! Sunday brunch is offered. The price for this: Adults = 8,50 EUR Children from 5 to 12 years = 4.50 EUR Children under 4 years: free There is also the daily rush hour cocktail (in the time clock 19-21). Then all cocktails only 3,90 EUR from the map. OOO personnel OOO Fast and friendly (the beloved of my Saxon friendliness!) OOO Our opinion OOO When we noticed the restaurant at the plate (it is set back and is built on the fly is not equal to above), we were a little hesitant, because we still had the flair of the DDR memory in residential area restaurants. Luckily we did not deter us and thought that you might even new items. You can still turn around. We were pleasantly surprised by what awaited us inside. Everything was positive: Interior Design - Staff - quality of the food - Prices - Flexibility for special needs ... Commendable is that we have here thought about the smoking. I myself am Non smoking. But I think it's good that you physically had the opportunity, even in full to the smokers to respond and can offer a really large separate dining room. Okay, it does not have any of the property establishes the conditions, but in this case it could be a good solution. I have a Non smoking guest rooms always disturbed the smoke-filled lot. But of course it is also inconvenient for smokers - especially during the cold season - when they are forced to exile on the road. Since Leipzig is not my hometown, I'm not all too often a means to get there. But one thing is certain: I come again to Leipzig, then - if at all possible - again to Leo!

Restaurant Romanushof

Most of my visits in Leipzig are just day trips. If my time permits, I like to eat something before I get back home by train in the evening. For train travellers the "Romanushof" is easily accessible because it is located near the train station (on the road between the station and city centre). You must be attentive to find it because it is located at the end of the "Katharinenstraße" (in the opposite the new tourist information, but somehow a bit inconspicuous). Opening times daily from 11:00 h Number of places Historic guest room = 88 seats Schiller bar = 22 seats Patio = 32 seats Vault = 28 seats Food At my two previous visits I've eaten hot roast pork on bread ("Schweinebraten auf Brot"). There are always several daily specials at attractive prices. And: EVERY Monday 17:30 to 20:30 h DUCKS BUFFET at a price of 9.90 EUR I never tested the Ducks Buffet, but I hope this summer I will have the opportunity to do so.
