BWE/BGE trains all consist of 1st and 2nd class coaches. You will find both compartment coaches (six seats per compartment) or carriages with open-plan arrangement: four seats per row (2+2) in 2nd class, three seats per row (2+1) in 1st class.

All carriages have air-condition and power sockets. On some services WiFi is available as well. Most services convey a restaurant car, and those wo don't have a minibar service. A free drink is included for all passengers, in 1st class you will also get a small snack. Most trains have facilities for the disabled. Bicycles currently can't be conveyed.

Buy your train reservation at a railway station. These are usually available at stations in all countries where a particular train runs through. In many countries, especially in central and eastern Europe you can also buy reservations for trains in other countries. In some countries (for instance in the Netherlands or Spain) you have to pay a service fee at the ticket counter.
