Hi,

We want to do Zone F in end August-September with a friend.

The thing is, we still couldn't decide on our route. We are landing on Barcelona and we will see Malaga, Sevilla and Madrid for sure. We want to travel down south from the east coast. So we would like to see some cities on east coast as well. Some Spanish people told Valencia doesn't really worth seeing. And of course some other sources on the web say it's really nice. Then we think hmm, then Alicante but then it takes 3 train changes and 19 hours of travelling because we dont want top pay supplement for the train so we must change the train a lot.
So what do you think is the best and easiest way to south?

Thank you!

Hi!
I'm from Spain, I live in Madrid but I have travelled a lot around my country.
I wouldn't spend so many hours of travelling to get to Alicante. It's a nice place, that's true, but it's more for families that want to stay in the beach for a week or so, it hasn't got much to see, so I think it's not worth the effort.
I would rather go to Valencia, it's a nice place, and has far more things to do than in Alicante.
Your must visit cities are really ok, Barcelona is such a marvellous place, it's really nice to walk in its streets. Of course, I recommend you to visit Madrid, it's a very alive city, with lots of things to visit and an incredible night life; but let me advertise you, almost all the city is beign repaired, so don't be surprised if it takes you 1 hour to reach a place which is only 20 minutes ahead. Sevilla is also nice, with a lot of arabic elements; and Malaga is also ok, but I recommend you to reserve really soon your acommodation, because there's a lot of demand for the summer season.
I don't know how many time you're planning to spend in Spain, but I would also visit Granada, which is a very nice place, with a lot of places to visit, young people and a good night life. And I would also take a look at Cordoba, specially to the mosque.
All right, so if you need any other information or anything, just ask!
