Hej,
in the sweden country pass, it says:

„A pass valid in Sweden covers:
direct SJ trains to and from Copenhagen and Copenhagen Airport.“

Particularly in summer, many SJ long-distance trains to Stockholm and Gothenborg start only in Malmö, so one has to take the Oresundtåg from CPH to Malmö.

Do you think the Oresundtåg passage is covered as well? BTW, a ticket for the section CPH to Malmö is 150 SEK, so not nothing.

Regards,
Volker

Hi Volker, welcome to railcc!

I would imagine that this rule does not apply to Öresundtag. This could have something to do how Interrail revenues are split between the companies. To be sure, I would recommend to contact Öresundtag directly at ask them.

Would be interesting to know if you get an answer. :)

Thanks for the hint to contact Öresundtå directly. I don\'t know why I have expected this type of answer :-))

> If you pass is only valid for Sweden you need to purchase a new ticket between Malmö - Copenhagen. So you can´t go with Oresundstrain over the bridge if you pass isn´t valid for the Danish side since Oresundstrain also is a part of the danish Railway which SJ isn´t.

Sorry, "this type of answer" refers to Öresundtåg\'s answer, not to yours, Flo.

Yeah, that was the kind of answer I expected; valid on Oresund trains only to the border since Oresund trains are operated jointly by different Danish and Swedish authorities.
On the other hand, SJ operates their Snabbtag services on their own financial risk into Sweden (without cooperation with DSB), hence you can use these trains to Copenhagen with an Interrail pass valid for Sweden only.
Also, it should be possible to get an international ticket from Copenhagen or Kastrup to only the border point (instead of all the way to Malmö) to cover the Danish part but such a ticket probably isnt available at the ticket machines in Denmark; if it is available then only at an international ticket desk in Copenhagen or somewhere abroad.
