I will be traveling in January and I have a question about one of the trips I want to do:

I want to go from Milan > Zagreb and found this train. I was wondering if the 7 pm rule would apply:

Milan - Villach 20:50 - 3:07
Villach - Zagreb 4:15 - 8:36
-> Since the first train will end up in Czech Republic it won\'t stop before 4 AM, but I will get off at 3 AM...

Hi and welcome to railcc!

The rules say ([ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-rules[/ux]):

If the Pass holder boards a direct overnight train after 19:00h (7pm), and the train arrives at its final destination after 04:00h (4am), it is only necessary to enter the date of arrival on the Travel Calendar. This also covers travel between 19:00h (7pm) and 24:00h (midnight) on the date of departure, as long as the dates of departure and arrival both fall within the overall period of the Pass’ validity.

So because the night train from Milan continues to Vienna/Munich (not to Czech Republic...where did you find that information?) you can use the 1900 rule and only one travel day. :)
