Hello Everyone
So in about 3 to 4 weeks Ill be going on Interrail alone for a month.
And currently Im trying to figure out a route. I live in a city close to Vienna so either Ill start from Vienna or Ill take a flight to another country to start.
So I would like to go to Amsterdam and Id like to see Dubrovnik (which is on the eastern side of austria). But Im also quite Amazed by Spain Portugal and France.
So i figured, what if I flew to Lisbon right away. Then I could go to some of the western european cities till amsterdam and head further east-/southwards till Im in Croatia and then back home.

It would be basically Lisbon-2 or 3 stops in Spain-maybe Bordeaux-Paris-Brussels-Amsterdam-Berlin-Budapest-Zagreb-Split/Dubrovnik-Vienna

Now would u say I can do this in one month without becoming a Zombie and getting totally exhausted and unsatisfied?

Hi and welcome to railcc!

Starting with a flight to Lisbon definitely is a good idea on your route - so you can avoid travelling back and forth to Portugal, then travelling back to Croatia.

So your route should look something like you\'ve already though about; starting from Lisbon:
night train to Madrid [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/night-train-irun-madrid-lisbon/[/ux], work your way through Spain towards the French border; then go to Bordeaux
Bordeaux - Paris by direct TGV, reservation available online at [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf/reservation/[/ux]
Paris - Brussels - Amsterdam: [ux]https://rail.cc/blog/thalys-amsterdam-paris/[/ux]
Amsterdam - Berlin - Budapest - Zagreb is really easy then. No reservations needed, night train possible from Berlin to Budapest.

From Zagreb you could go to Split by train (day or night), then you have to go to Dubrovnik by bus. Maybe also think about the Budapest - Split night train: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-split-g1204/132[/ux]
Then you could visit Zagreb on your way back home.

If you have more questions feel free to ask - at the moment I am travelling so it might take a day or two until I can answer. ;)
