Hi again

I am from Portugal, and i am thinking in going to Madrid by train to start my Interrail there. I will use the reduced prices for trains due to the interrail pass. My question is: The pass will begin to count in Madrid (31st July) or will it begin in the trip between Lisbon-Madrid. This is very important because i was thinking in spending 1-2 days in Madrid but i wasn't planning on spending my days there, losing one or two important days.

Thanks for all your help and enjoy your trips

Hi.
Your ticket will start on the day you fix in the shop as your first travel day.
So select the date when your will leave in Madrid.

Hi!
That's my situation and my question too :)
So, if I can start my InterRail in Madrid (starting to count the days from there), do I have the 50% discount on the train ticket Lisbon-Madrid?

Thanks ;)

Hi.
You only get the 50% discount if your InterRail ticket is already valid. ||
Maybe use a bus from Lisbon to Madrid... the night buses have the same price like the discounted trains:
