Hi there, is there a night train from Venice to Ljubiana on the 4th June. I previously found one but cant seem to find it anymore?
Flo @ 04-04-2011 21:34
hum...that's weird, I couldnt find it either. However, I'm certain it will be running; I'll try to get more information soon, maybe post here in case I forget to give you an update. 😉

I have a question regarding the night train from venice to ljubljana. Its tops off in Austris then on to ljubljana, do we have to pay for the couchettes/cabin on each of the trains or is it one flat fee?
Pete @ 03-05-2011 11:20
An other option is to do this trip by day train as the night is short on this connection:
Nicola2212 @ 03-05-2011 12:58
Thanks Peter, but for our other night trains how does it work if there is a changeover? Do we pay our sleeping supplement for each train??
Pete @ 03-05-2011 14:03
Yes, you have to pay per night train you use.
Flo @ 30-05-2011 10:09
The train does continue operating.

I'm looking to travel from venice to budapest, but am I correct in understanding from your posts that you need to pay the supplement every time it stops?! So 5 euros at each stop? 😐
Or can you just pay 5 euros for a seat when you get on in Venice and stay on until it reaches Budapest as a single journey?
Pete @ 11-09-2011 14:15
You always pay a reservation once for a direct train. So only one time EUR 5, NOT for every stop. Relax. 🙂
Pete @ 23-05-2012 22:05
The direct night train is currently suspended! 😲
