Hi,

Are there any knowledgable people out there who can advise me how to get to Corfu,Greece from the U.K. by using rail and then possibly a ferry across from the bottom end of Italy to Corfu ?
My son is afraid of flying and I was wondering if this was a possible way of overcoming this problem.
Would you also please be in a position to tell me how long the journey may take and the cost of the rail tickets on the continent ?

Thankyou

Hi.

If you want to travel this route by train, the cheapest way is to do it by InterRail.
There are different types of tickets available. select one depending on your stay in Corfu.
Maybe a one month global InterRail ticket or one 5 travel-days within 10 days Interrail ticket for your travel to Corfu and an other one 5 days within 10 days for your way back to the UK.
More information: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-global-pass

:!: I listed you all the information you need bellow: schedules, supplements, fares for the ferries, links, ...

The easiest way is from:
London to Paris: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/london-to-paris
Paris to Italy: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/paris-to-venice

Then via Venice by ferry to Corfu: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/italy/it (Minoan Lines)
Or from Brindisi to Corfu: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/italy/it (HML/Superfast Ferries)

To get an overview for all the train schedules you will need: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

On the ferries I mentioned, you will get a discount or even travel for free.

Have a good time, Peter :)
