Traveling by train with a bike

Hi!

I want to travel from Sotckholm to Luleå by train or bus, and I want to take a bike with me on the train. I have not the possibility to fold the bike, the bike will be in full size. What are my options?

Hi and welcome to railcc!

As far as I know, SJ (the operator of the night trains from Stockholm to Lulea and main long distance train operator in Sweden) does not carry bicycles. The only option would be to dismantle your bike and carry it as a piece of hand luggage.

It might be possible to travel with trains of other operators, but you would have to check with each operator individually if they carry full size bicycles.
