Really need all that stuff?

Right I maybe naive in saying all this but do you really need to bring a tent, sleeping bag, gas stove etc etc etc for an inter rail trip?
Wouldn't I be able to survive by going to hostels and what have you ? :

yes ... sure ... it is no problem to survive without a tent, sleeping bag and so on ... it depends on how much money you want to spent, if you stay in cities or if you also want to stay some nights in the nature in the middle of nowhere... 🙂
if you only jumping from city to city and maybe some beaches or nature where you can find hostels or cheap hotels, forget about the tent. me personally when I am travelling in the winter months, I am using as well in most cases hostels, as it is warmer then in a tent. 😉
