Hey!
We're planning to take this train 14th or 15th August going from Napoli to Trieste. The European Train Schedule shows the perfect connection:
ICN 774 Napoli Centrale 19:57 - Venezia Mestre 05:08
ICN 773 Venezia Mestre 05:32 - Trieste Centrale 07:28
German schedule also shows the connections like this, but in the Italian timetable there is no ICN 774! Some time ago I've been checking it and Italian timetable showed ICN 774, but now there is no train like this! So I'd like to ask if it is still operating (I hope so...)

Hej!
There has been a major incident at Roma Tiburtina station some time ago, which still causes major disturbances throughout the Italian railway network.
The ICN 774 still runs but is suspended between Napoli and Roma. Departure at Roma Termini is 2236, arrival at Trieste Cle is 0728. You do not have to change trains in Venezia! It is only the train number that changes there.

so the departure is from Roma TERMINI, not TIBURTINA (the Italian timetable still shows Tiburtina)?

As far as I know both stations will be served, but the 2236 departure is for Tiburtina, sorry! ;)
If you are coming from Napoli, you can go with IC 560 from Napoli Cle to Roma Termini with connection to the night train there.
And please do check the timings locally! :)

Hey,
You had right Flo, that train goes from Roma Termini at 22:36 :)
Due to the general reconstruction of Roma Tiburtina station almost all the trains (except those to Fiumicino and Orte if I remember correctly) depart from Roma Termini station. They DO NOT stop on the Roma Tiburtina station, they are just passing it without a stop. For the passengers who come to the Tiburtina station (like we did :) ) there is a free bus transport to Termini station if you show the train ticket.
