Going in July (around the 20th) using the 1 month Global Pass - want to have a good time so dont want to be tight on cash entirely, but how much realisticly would anyone recommend taking? Planning on France > Italy > Slovenia/Croatia? > Budapest > Krakow? > Prague > Berlin > Paris > Home
cheers, kath :)

hi ...
just calculate it per day:
hostel: 25 EUR
food: 15 EUR
supplements (night trains, etc - if not traveling every day, calculate an average): 5 EUR

so you have something between 40 and 50 EUR per day... but then you have it very comfortable. in Eastern Europe it is cheaper... have a look for example on the hostels and compare them with Western Europe: [ux]https://rail.shop/bookingcom[/ux]

When staying at a hostel with a kitchen, consider preparing your own food. Yes, it sounds boring, but it's not! If you know how to cook that is ;)
Buying food at a local supermarket or a market in a foreign country is a truly exciting experience! And it will rarely cost more than 5-10 euros, beer included.
