Hi. When I search to go from Madrid-Charmartin to Barcelona, it says that i need to transfer 45 min. Continue by local trains to Madrid-Puerta de Atocha. Do I need to get another train to do this connection? I cannot find that connection on the route planner....

Thank you for your help.

The station Estación de Chamartín (Madrid-Charmartin) is in the north of Madrid:

The station Estación de Puerta de Atocha (Madrid-Atocha) is in the centre of Madrid:

Between these two stations you can use a regional train (or also others)... you will need 15 minutes.
Have a look on to find the connections.

Or use the city-train line number 1. But this one is not included in your InterRail ticket... be sure that you will find a free regional train!! 🙂
