do you know if there is a supplement or reservation need for the 'day' train from belgrade to bar..or the night train (sleeper) if you have any info

on the day train you do not need a reservation ... trains are often empty. you will always find a seat... or even two or four or... 🙂

for a bed in a couchette (6-bed-compartments) you pay about 6 EUR. try to reserve your bed already outside of Serbia Bulgaria, Romania or Hungary, as the service is better there. sometimes the service at Serbian rail stations is not perfect ... 😉
this is only a personal experience!

you can book your reservation also online via their website, but the reservation website is in serbian language:

I hope this answer will help you !!?
have fun!!

The price of the couchette in the night train is 6e. Going either from Montenegro or from Serbia. This is for the one with 6 beds in it.
It's highly recommended to take the night train, because the Belgrade-Bar train is often late, usually about 2-3 hours of delay is completely normal....

Oh, and it IS recommended to buy the ticket in Serbia, or Montenegro.

Belgrade-Bar is picturesqe track with hundreds of bridges, tunnels, etc. and I think that's better to travel there during the day to have nice view 😉
